I hate when people discredit pop music by saying it’s “catchy,” and then somehow shallow and worthless.
Rock stars make catchy music, but what they know is catchy to rock fans. Same for RnB, Hip Hop, Dubstep, etc. Catchy just means its good. Don’t try to reason your bullshit an unjustified hate for pop since you think that because you occupy a subculture that mildly differentiates from the mainstream, you are somehow inherently better, and above pop music. You’re not deeper, you’re just a cliche.
