It’s easy for us to be like, “Rihanna, you’re so stupid for going back to him, why can’t you just stop and leave him alone,” because that’s the logical thing to think or say. However, what goes through Rihanna’s mind is the opposite of what goes through our minds because she’s the abuse victim and we are not. In Rihanna’s mind, it’s, “Oh, he said he was sorry, he said he loves me, and he said he would change, so I’m going to give him another shot.” It’s sad and it doesn’t make sense to us, but it makes sense to her. She’s in love, and her brain and heart are going to do everything they can to justify what he did and what is happening until she gets some real help. Unfortunately for Rihanna, I don’t think there are that many people around her who truly care about anything other than the money she pulls in.
